The Buddhist temple offers an incredible view of Kathmandu. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest Buddhist shrines in the world.  We’ll see monks and devotees circumnavigating the stupa.  In Patan, we visit Patan Durbar Square, an ancient Newari kingdom full of eloquent architecture.

You can see sadhus (holy men) meditating, pilgrims bathing, and bodies being cremated on the banks of the Bagmati River. Last but not least, Bhaktapur is another ancient Newari kingdom located just outside of Kathmandu.

Nagarkot is another picturesque hilltop with even more stunning mountain views. Just a short drive from Kathmandu, you can stare face-to-face at several of the highest mountain peaks in the world.
