Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a village in central Nepal near the Kathmandu Valley's rim. It's famous for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest to the northeast, which are especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The adjacent scrubland is crisscrossed with trails and is home to a plethora of butterflies. To the west is the historic, pagoda-style Changunarayan Temple, a Hindu pilgrimage destination devoted to Vishnu.
