Nepal is known for Mount Everest, but many people think that Nepal does not offer short hikes or trips. Annapurna region is another world-famous high-mountain adventure, such as the Annapurna Circuit Trek and Annapurna Base Camp, among many other trekking trails.

Among the many world-class trekking trails from Pokhara, you can do short-day hikes or short 2-3-day treks that are not too strenuous. Pokhara is one of the best travel destinations in 2023 and to this date for relaxing, adventure sports, and the giant Himalayas. It is one of the largest cities in Nepal, with beautiful lakes, majestic Himalayas, and green hills. People who come to Nepal for long holidays do not miss Pokhara because of its beauty. From your bed, you can see the snow-capped mountains that surround Pokhara. Sunrise, sightseeing, paragliding, day hiking, and other adventure sports are popular in Pokhara, but if you want to push yourself a bit more, we suggest the 2-day Dhampus Sarangkot trek from Pokhara.

From Pokhara, we will take a scenic drive towards Phedi, and it’s about 30 minutes. From Phedi, we will start walking. At the beginning, we have to walk uphill, and it’s not totally climbing the hill; the trails are wide. A slow, 1 hour uphill walk will take you into the Dhampus village, followed by walking through villages with stunning mountain views. Dhampus village is at 1600m above sea level and in the paradise of Nepal. In total, we will walk 3 hours from the starting point. We will spend our night with very charming and friendly Gurung people in nice hotels and homestays. Dhampus village is pretty much famous for the yoga trek. If you are wondering about yoga and meditation in the lower part of the Himalayas, then Dhampus is the right place.

Wake up early in the morning for the beautiful mountain views, which change color after the sunrise. Enjoy the morning breakfast made by the locals. You can pick any kind of breakfast, but try something different that is locally made.  At first, it's pretty easy and a bit downhill, but after reaching Naudanda, the hiking trail is almost flat. Sarangkot is beautiful and a popular hill station for Annapurna ranges, sunsets, and sunrises. After the sunset view from Sarangkot, drive back to Pokhara. Transfer to your hotel.
