Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek Route and Booking Process
Ghorepani Trekking Itinerary
The 4 Days Ghorepani Ghandruk Circuit trek itinerary starts and ends in Pokhara. We take a jeep drive up to Ulleri to skip the dusty and stone stairs of the original trekking route. Right now there is also road construction beyond Ulleri village, but the trekking trail is still okay and nice to walk inside the forest. It will take 3 hours to drive from Pokhara to Ulleri-Banthathi and then 4 hours to hike to Ghorepani. We will reach Ghorepani before sunset, so after having tea and a short break, we will hike for 45 minutes to 1 hour up to Ghorepani for the sunset. However, the views are clearly seen from your hotel, and we will visit Poon Hill during sunrise the next morning. Never miss the first chance, so if the weather is clear, it is always good to visit Poon Hill for sunrise. In Ghorepani, there are nice hotels and lodges with attached bathrooms, so if you are looking for a luxury trek in Nepal, this trek is for you.
On the next day, after our morning visit to Poon Hill, we will trek to Tadapani, which is about a 6-hour easy walk and offers magnificent views of Annapurna South, Fishtail, sunset, and the beautiful landscape. While walking from Ghorepani to Tadapani, the trail is mixed with beautiful mountain views, rhododendron forest, small waterfalls, streams, and rivers. It is also possible to see wildlife.
On the third day, the trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk is pretty short and easy. We will explore the typical Ghandruk village after lunch in Ghandruk. On this trek, people should not forget to spend a night in Ghandruk, since it has many ancient and typical things to explore around the village. On the last day, after breakfast, we will take a jeep drive to Pokhara, which means you will reach Pokhara in the afternoon.
