3-Day Kathmandu Valley Rim Trekking is a short and easy hike for beginners, families, and seniors. This trek offers a panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley in the high Himalayas. Within a short and simple trek, you can see Mt. Everest, Mt. Gaurishanker, Lantang Range, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, and numerous other mountain ranges that will surprise you. Kathmandu Valley trekking can be done all around, but the mountain view might not be clear during the monsoon. We will be hiking around Kathmandu Hills, which offers a picturesque landscape, traditional villages, people, birds, wild animals, and obviously snow-capped mountains. We will be hiking at a normal altitude (2200m) maximum, and you don’t need to worry about high altitude; just train your knees and feet to hike for 5–6 hours a day.

The three-day Kathmandu Valley Rim Trek Itinerary includes two nights of trekking. Explore Nepal's jungle, Shivapuri National Park, rice terraces, mountains, and breathtaking views of white-capped mountains all within an hour of the capital city. If you wish to do the same walk in 4 nights and 5 days, we can cover Namo Buddha, Balthali Village, or Ranikot Village Homestay

After your breakfast, we will drive about 1 hour from Kathmandu to trek start point Sundarijal. From Sundarijal the trail climb up the trail will enter through the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. Before entering the forest we will pass through small Tamang villages which offer a rich insight into the lives, history, culture, and religion of its inhabitants. From the top of Shivapuri, one can have a panoramic view of the western mountains like Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh Himal Range, Mt. Langtang Range, Mt. DorjeLhakpa Mt. Shisapangma, Mt. GauriShankar and various other mountains. We will continue walking on the rhododendron and oaks forest and finally, we will reach Chisopani.

Wake up early for morning photography, after having our breakfast, we continue our trekking through the mostly flat and downhill trails to Nagarkot. The trekking goes between the village and forest with great views of country sites and mountains. Today you might be a little bit tired but after reaching Nagarkot you will forget all sores and pain because Nagarkot offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan. Nagarkot is a well-known place to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets and also Mount Everest can be seen on a clear day including the other 12 peaks.

We wake up early to catch the sun rising over the snowy Himalayan peaks. After breakfast, we will trek down to the old Newari town via local villages, farmland. On a clear day, we can see Panoramic mountain ranges on the way as well as from Dhulikhel. After reaching our vehicle will be ready to pick up and drive to Kathmandu. Transferred to your hotel, rest of the time free for shopping, etc..
