Champadevi hiking is a new day hiking trails in Kathmandu valley, which is about 16 km from the Kathmandu city. This is an easy and pleasant day hike in the southern hill of Pharping village. Passing through greenery farmlands, Buddhist monasteries, and greenery pine forest will make your hike memorable.
We will be hiking about 7 miles, the hike started innocently at the beginning but the fairly route will get steeper while getting closer to the top. From the Champadevi hill (2285m) we will we can observe bustling Kathmandu city, local villages and Panoramic Mountains including Langtang, Gauri Shankar, Jugal, Dorje Lakpa and other. There are no hotels and tea houses on this trail so we will take pack lunch.
From Champa Devi Hill we can see Kathmandu Valley, Patan, Bungamati, and Bhaktapur valley. If you want to spend a night nearby then Hattiban Resort can be a good place. The resort is very quiet, clean and on top of the hill into the pine forest.

  • Carry mask, roads are dusty and bumpy.

  • Normal nice grep shoes are enough for this hike.
  • Don't pat dogs while hiking some might be aggressive. 
  • Respect local people and make sure before taking pictures of them.
